Brief Historical Timeline:

  • Late 1700s/early 1800s - Antoine-Francois de Fourcroy is credited with inventing the drink for Napoleon Bonaparte
  • 1892 - Mandarine Napoleon is first sold commercially, after the recipe is discovered in Fourcroy's diary by Belgian chemist Louis Schmidt
  • 2009 - Mandarine Napoleon is sold to De Kuyper Royal Distillers

Key Cocktails:

Mandarine Napoleon is a great substitute for any cocktail that calls for triple sec or other orange liqueurs. It can also be enjoyed neat or on ice.

Napoleon Margarita (The Brand's Signature Cocktail):

1 oz Mandarine NapolĂ©on

2 ozs Tequila 100% Agave

1 oz Fresh lime juice

1 bsp Agave syrup

Shake and strain into a salt-rimmed rocks glass filled with ice cubes. Garnish with a lime peel.
